Arabic attached/possessive pronouns

Bismillah,

Here is a worksheet to help review possessive pronouns (attached pronouns). It helps students to identify the possessive in the English sentence and then translate that into the Arabic pronoun they have been taught.

I’m using this worksheet with students who need more revision on this topic and this worksheet inshallah will give them the chance to review them in a format that isn’t my usual table format.

Worksheet on Natural Madd

Bismillah,

The following worksheets were created by my sister, also a teacher for class 4 ( 7-8 year olds). I’ve created one blogpost for them to make it easy to download and print the worksheets as they cover one concept: Natural Madd.

Ideally, these worksheets are sent home over a holiday period and used to reinforce the learning over the term.

Arabic grammar review board game

Bismillah,

Here is a board game I’ll be using in my class as a quick and fun way to review what has been taught previously. We are on half-term holidays for a week so the girls will need some help reviewing the previous grammar concepts.

I will laminate this sheet and it will be a pair activity. You will also need dice and counters for this game.

Arabic Present Tense jigsaw set

Bismillah,

Here is a jigsaw type activity that I have put together to help the girls review Arabic present tense conjugation parts.  To help them see the different parts that make up present tense for each subject pronoun.

Laminate the sheets and store in a sealed bag and re-use as needed. I’m going to make this a pair activity so I will only need half the number I would’ve needed.

Qur’anic Arabic Verbs flashcards

Bismillah,

I’ve created these flashcards of verbs in the Qur’an for use with my classes. I will cut out the meaning and stick to the back of the verbs and then laminate the verb sheets. That way the students will be able to play a game with their partner to help them memorize them.

I have chosen interesting looking pictures so that it will be easier for the visual learners to remember iA.

Arabic present tense cut out activity

Bismillah,

Here is the pdf worksheet for the Arabic present tense (Fi’il Mudari’). I’ll be using this sheet in this Saturday’s lesson with all three of my classes insha Allah.

It’s a simple cut out activity where students need to place the correct cut out in the present tense table. This worksheet will be given after we have read through the explanation.

The act of cutting out will help those students who are kinesthetic learners. The colours will help the visual learners and for auditory learners it will be useful to ask them to read the cut outs out loud as they stick them on the table.

I hope this helps you iA.

Arabic Grammar Lapbook – free pack

Bismillah,

We are currently on our spring break for two weeks. I’m using the extra time available to plan and create more resources for the coming term. We had a very fruitful Arabic staff meeting and Alhamdolillah as a result we feel like we know where we are heading as a team and a department.

The first lesson back after a long break is usually where we spend time reviewing the grammar concepts we have covered so far. The 3rd term is insha Allah where I am going to prepare the girls for their end of year exam. So reviewing is going to be a major theme for us this coming term iA.

Here is the free 10 page PDF of the Arabic Grammar Lapbook

So, this is what the girls from my 3 classes will be making for themselves. If hey ever leave Al Barakah school they have a hands on resource with all Arabic grammar in one place. I’ve left things blank for them to fill out in their own words and style.

You will need a document folder cut open or you can use any folder you have available. I am going to go for the cheapest option as I will be getting all 3 classes to be making one each.

Arabic past tense worksheet

Bismillah,

A cut out and paste activity I will be using as an activity for my next lesson. It’s very easy to do and insha Allah will help to review the Arabic past tense. Some girls are kinathestic learners so it will be especially good for them. The red and black is good for visual learners and I will get the girls who are auditory learners to say the verbs out as they cut and paste them.

Roll and Translate activity Arabic past tense verbs

Bismillah,

Here is an activity that I will be using this Saturday insha Allah. The girls have learnt  the past tense, how to create it in Arabic and translate it from Arabic into English too. Mashallah. So here is a fun activity to be played in pairs to review the 4/5 verbs which occur most in the Qur’an:

PDF for Roll and Translate Arabic past tense verbs

نظر (to see, to look at)

سمع ( to hear)

عبد (to worship)

    غفر(to forgive)

خلق (to create)

arabic roll and translate-page-001

Since I don’t have enough die prepared for this week – The girls can simply read through numbers 1-6 in their heads for the partner.

Activity:

  1. Partner A reads umbers 1-6 in their heads
  2. Partner B says stop
  3. Whichever number comes up is the column Partner B has to translate from
  4. Partner B crosses off using their coloured marker
  5. Repeat until everything is crossed off.

I hope you find this activity useful iA.
