Bingo Game
Laminate the sheets with letters (start with sheets with foll form and then work your way to the broken letters and end up with joint letters). The teacher calls out a letter and they find it and circle it on their sheets using whiteboard pens which can then be wiped and reused. At the end the class shouts out “Bingo Bismillah” together š

Bismillah,
So far the grammar I have taught or reviewed depending on the class and what they have been taught before is as follow:
I created the following Arabic grammar worksheetĀ as an exercise to help review all these concepts.Ā The lyrics are from an Islamic Arabic nasheed for children and they repeat over and overĀ again. IĀ want them to see thatĀ Qur’anic Arabic and the grammar I am teaching can be used to readĀ shortĀ Arabic storiesĀ or understandĀ songs whichĀ is more relevant at their age/stage.
So here is the nasheed:
And here is the activity that accompanies it:
Once the students have completed the exercise, it will be a fun activity to see if they can translate the sentences using previous knowledge and some help from me. Exposing them to Arabic texts at such an early stage is beneficial for them in my opinion.
At the end of this exercise, I’ll get the class to listen to the nasheed and repeat the words.

Bismillah,
One fun way of teaching the Surah order of Juzz `Amma is to create this Accordion folding stick craft activity – what a mouthful! š I came across this activity as a Butterfly activity and it has many versions such as the Father’s Day one. Here is the link to theĀ Bible craft version on Danielle’s Place of Crafts and Activities as it has excellent pictures that explain how to make it.
There are two ways of making this activity: If you want to hang it, you can attach a ribbon to the top into a loophole or leave the ribbon and use it to tie it together. Also, the Surah order can be either from Surah Naba to Surah al-Nas or the other way around.
Version 1:
Version 2:
What you will need:
For copyright reasons, I don’t think I can include even the instructions – so If you want to make this Accordion folding please head over to the Danielle’s place of Craft and Activities site.
For my class: I have cut the card into strips that fit into the jumbo size I need. If you want to avoid cutting strips because it is a time consuming thing, you can buy colored jumbo lollipop sticks. I have added stickers to jazz it up as well!
Hope you enjoy creating this activity with your class!

Bismillah,
Similiar to the other keyword assesment sheets I’ve created, my year 9 class will also be assessed using a crossword. The keywords will then be reviewed using flashcards for that particular surah.
Here is the surah al ghashiyah crossword pdf

Bismillah,
This sheet was designed when I realised that the students in year 8 needed to actually learn their detached pronouns because they had not been taught all of them previously.Ā I madeĀ flashcards on detached pronouns as well so I could teach them and review them too (the fridge copy will be sent a week early, so I’m hoping some parents have helped their children learn them already!).
ThisĀ review sheet will be used to test their knowledge insha Allah!
Hope this helps with your students. Please leave a comment or suggestion to help improve this site.
